use transparency and merge modes in standalone FF

Ability to alter transparency of filter effect on an image within the standalone Filter Forge program. A selection of merge modes would be awesome too e.g. multiply, darken, difference etc.
Programs offering true plugin support are out of my reach financially so I would like more functionality in the standalone version of Filter Forge.
